Mamanet is a social sports league established in Israel in 2005, specifically designed for women over 28 and mothers. The league focuses on Cachibol, a game derived from volleyball that emphasizes catching and throwing the ball rather than hitting it. This approach makes the sport accessible to women of all fitness levels and backgrounds.
Over the years, Mamanet has expanded internationally, with thousands of participants across countries such as Austria, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, and the United States. In the U.S., Mamanet has established leagues in various states, including California, New York, New Jersey, Texas, Georgia, Nevada, Washington, and Colorado.
The league not only promotes physical activity but also fosters community building among women, providing a supportive environment for social interaction and personal growth. Mamanet’s unique combination of sport and community has made it a model for similar initiatives worldwide.
